Kajra is famous for Havelis of the 19th century, unlike Surajgarh which boasts of 18th century havelis. Though there are few 18th century Havelis, the village is dominant with Art-Deco period. The change in the society is evident from the frescos and the architecture there and serves as a lovely example of how society and development changed from the 18th to the 19th century.
